What does a Sony PlayStation 4 subscription give you? PlayStation Plus - Features you want to use. For how long are games purchased via subscription available?

There are only a few days left before the PlayStation Plus service is fully operational on our PS Vitas. However, as I noticed, many people have questions regarding the mechanisms of its operation and how temporary the games provided for free are. In this article I will try to answer all the basic questions so that you can decide for yourself whether you want to subscribe or not.

So, let's start with the basics. A subscription gives you online save storage, automatic trophy syncing, and automatic downloads of updates. Let me explain using the PS3 as an example; on the PS Vita everything will be the same or very similar. For each new game you turn on after starting your subscription, you can choose whether to store its saves in the cloud or not. Accordingly, if there are a lot of games, then the cloud gigabyte is better spent on your favorite games.

A new setting also appears in the menu of the console itself. It allows you to select the time when the console will turn on itself and do all the things at once: synchronizing trophies, downloading and installing updates, and copying saves. You can set it, for example, from 6 to 8 am, when you definitely won’t be using the console. For Vita, however, the problem of energy saving will be added. Does this mean that I will have to leave it on charge overnight? Let's see how Sony solves this issue.

Now about the games. If a game has a discount for subscribers, everything is simple: you buy the game at a discount, and it’s yours forever, there are no downsides at all. If the game is free, you will only be able to play it later as long as you are a PlayStation Plus subscriber. This is a disappointment for many, but let's dive into the details. Let's say the game Gravity Rush is on the free list for only three months. That is, those who subscribe in three months will no longer download it for free, but they will download other free games that will be there later. But, if you managed to click the "Download" button while the game was on this list, it forever will remain in your download list.

Let's say your subscription has expired. Free games will stop running, but they won't go away. As soon as, even after a year, you become a subscriber again, all your previously “purchased” free games will immediately return to you. That is, while you are a subscriber, there is no concept of “temporary” games for you. The number of your free games will only grow and grow, but will not decrease. That is why now PS3 owners who have been subscribers since the advent of PlayStation Plus already have hundreds of games of various calibers. And I think they don't regret signing up. As for you, it's your choice.

Let me remind you that the cost of an annual subscription in Russia is 1950 rubles. Or you can subscribe for 585 rubles for three months. And the first free games will be Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, Chronovolt and Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack. Also, it is already known that Jet Set Radio will appear on the list later.

    Added later:
    1) The subscription works immediately on PS3 and PS Vita. If you have both consoles, you don't have to pay twice.
    2) Trophies work without restrictions. Even if your subscription ends, trophies from free games will not disappear.
    3) A permanent Internet connection is not required. At least on PS3, it’s unlikely that anything will change on Vita.

Let's take a break from our phones and talk about games. After purchasing the Sony PlayStation 4 game console, many users ask the question “what is PlayStation Plus and why is it needed”? Is it worth using it, what are the advantages of it and what can you ultimately get for 3199 rubles per year? I will try to answer these and other questions to make it easier for you to decide whether to subscribe.

The PlayStation Plus service was launched by Sony in 2010 and then its main feature was free games for the PlayStation 3 and Vita. The service developed, acquired functions, and after the release of PlayStation 4, it somewhat changed its purpose. Yes, it still provides access to free games, but at the same time it is an important part of the PlayStation 4 ecosystem, making the console truly cohesive and profitable. For some reason, some users prefer to consider PlayStation Plus simply a “paid service for multiplayer and indie”, turning a blind eye to the game library of already distributed games, the advantages and possibilities of the service for saving. I don’t want to convince this audience (but if it works, I’ll be glad), if they are comfortable with such a perception of PS Plus, that’s their right. But, in my opinion, PS4 without PS Plus is just a console that runs games (in the best resolution, by the way).

So, in addition to two games a month and online play, PlayStation Plus offers nice discounts in the PlayStation Store, access to the Share Play service (the ability to let a friend play your games), cloud storage to save progress, as well as exclusive and early access to closed beta tests.

Of the last things Sony PlayStation gave me to “test,” I remember most of all Hitman and the multiplayer of Uncharted 4. Moreover, PS Plus subscribers could try out the online component of the final part of Uncharted back in December, while the general beta was launched only in March. How could an Uncharted fan resist downloading the beta? No way. It happens that hard drives die. No one is immune from this and it usually happens at the most unexpected and inopportune moment. The PlayStation 4 has the ability to create backups onto a flash drive manually, but this process is not very convenient or fast. PS Plus provides 10 GB of cloud storage for downloading game saves automatically. Comfortable.

Free games. Who doesn't love freebies? There are no such people. PlayStation 4 has so far received a few disc editions, but I personally can’t show my dissatisfaction with Rocket League, King’s Quest, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Never Alone, and Infamous: First Light, which were given out for free at different times. ", Transistor, Valiant Hearts: The Great War, Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition and Grim Fandango Remastered. How much would they cost if you bought them? And it’s important to note that PS Plus adds two games per console every month. That is, if you have a PS Vita, PS3 and PS4, then in total you will have six free games (74 per year). I just can’t imagine when you’ll play all this.

Finally, discounts. This is not the most obvious, but for active players the most important trump card of PlayStation Plus, with which a subscription can pay for itself in just a couple of months. In general, there are several types of discounts. There are unique discounts at the start of sales of iconic toys (recent examples include a 15% discount (600 rubles) on Far Cry Primal and a 20% discount on Everybody's Gone to the Rapture). There are also unique discounts for all PS Plus subscribers during general For example, in March you can save an additional 10% on Bloodborne, Until Dawn, Need for Speed, Destiny, Mortal Kombat X. There are also so-called “Double PlayStation Plus discounts”, when discounts are available for PS Plus subscribers. double compared to the usual discount for all users. You can remember the June promotion, when Diablo III could be purchased not with a 25% discount for 2624 rubles, but for 1749 rubles with a 50% discount, Wolfenstein: The New Order would have been released with a 70% discount. 900 rubles instead of 1949 rubles, and The Evil Within would cost 1119 rubles instead of 1949 rubles. That is, if you then bought three of these titles (out of several dozen participating in the promotion), you would save 2754 rubles only on additional PS Plus discounts. And the official Russian PlayStation community VKontakte holds draws for valuable prizes among PS Plus subscribers twice a month. This, of course, is not a reason to subscribe to the service, but it is a nice addition (by the way, the branded Sony In-ear Stereo Headset is currently being raffled off, we are going to review it soon).

In general, Sony has been very active with sales over the past year. Moreover, pleasant discounts are given even on fresh, hit titles (how do you like Bloodborne for 1749 instead of 3999 rubles two months after release?), which practically never happened in the days of the PlayStation 3. Yes, the PlayStation 3 with PlayStation Plus received many more free disc titles, but in the case of the PlayStation 4, there were many more opportunities to get great deals on sales.

In my opinion, if you have just purchased or are planning to purchase a PlayStation 4, then a subscription to the PlayStation Plus service is a must, as only with it you will get the full gaming experience of the best gaming console on the market. A monthly subscription will cost you 449 rubles, a three-month subscription will cost you 999 rubles, and a one-year subscription will cost you 3,199 rubles. The last option is the most profitable, since 267 rubles per month is not so much, given the ruble exchange rate and the cost of toys on media, and they will quickly pay for themselves with discounts and free giveaways (something should suit your taste!). And at the same time you can play online. Well, if you still doubt the need for PlayStation Plus, you can try the service in a free 14-day period, which is provided upon registration.

Which PS4 to choose, what are the regions, what is the difference?
If you buy a PCT console, then most likely there will be an official guarantee, if others, then no. The remaining difference lies in the Blu-Ray drive, which has regional restrictions for licensed films; this restriction does not apply to games. Well, on the Japanese console, the positions of the X and O buttons in the menu were changed, that’s all. All PS4 consoles can work with any games and any languages, and support all account regions.

Which account to create, Belarus is not on the list, I’m thinking of choosing Russia
It is recommended to immediately decide for yourself which region will be used; by and large there are three of them: Asia, Europe, America. Asia is important to fans of Japanese games. The difference between EU and USA is the cost of games and PS+ subscription (obviously more expensive in Europe) and the lack of localizations for games. There are rare exceptions, but they are few. PlayStation 4 has no regional restrictions and no one prohibits you from buying it in one country, but buying games and using an account from another. You can create several accounts from different regions to get maximum opportunities; in this case, one account with PS+ on the console is enough so that everyone else can play multiplayer.

How to activate free PS+ and buy games?
To activate the free trial period, you can try to link a card and activate the code. Unfortunately, for some reason, Sony does not consider our country worthy, so you cannot pay for purchases directly from the card in any way or by any means. The only option is to buy prepaid cards and activate them in your PSN account, topping up your Sony e-wallet. Cards can be taken from official stores like 1C Interest, Gamazavr, and from people from Plati.ru and others. It’s better not to take it to Belconsoli, sometimes they sell cards that have already been activated by someone and you’ll just waste your money.

    What is PlyStation Plus?
PlayStation Plus is a paid, optional service of the PlayStation Network that gives access to additional services, discounts, bonuses and free games.

    How is PlayStation Plus paid?
PS+ is paid for from the PlayStation Store wallet like any other games, or with special prepaid cards (codes) sold in stores with console games. Subscriptions are currently available for 3 or 12 months (1 year).

Is it possible to renew my subscription before it expires?
Yes. Subscriptions accumulate, i.e. The current subscription is automatically renewed for the newly purchased period.

    Regional restrictions
The subscription is valid only in the regional store where it was purchased. For example, if you subscribe to the American PS Store, you will be able to download special offers only from it. As usual, downloaded games and other materials will work on any console account until the Plus account is deleted from it.

Free games / Instant game collection / Excellent selection of games
PlayStation Plus subscribers have access to a catalog of free games. The service operates on the rental principle, i.e. downloaded games work as long as you have a paid subscription to PlayStation Plus.

The principle of creating a catalog of free games
By connecting to the service, you will receive a selection of certain PS3 and PS Vita games available for free download on the PlayStation Store showcase. Every week there is a partial rotation of the assortment, i.e. some games are removed from the showcase, and new ones are added in their place. Sony promises that over the course of a year, 65 free games will be available through the service, including 26 games for PS Vita and 39 games for PlayStation 3. Already downloaded games will continue to work for you as long as your Plus subscription is active.

Will the game work after it is removed from the PlayStation Plus storefront?
Yes. All games downloaded to the console as part of the PlayStation Plus program will work as long as your subscription is active, regardless of whether they are available to new users of the service.

What happens to free games after my PlayStation Plus subscription ends?
Games will stop running until you renew your subscription.

After renewing my subscription after a break, will the “old” games work again?
    Yes.

Is an internet connection required to play PlayStation Plus games?
No, the system supports completely offline operation. Naturally, after renewing your subscription, you will need to go online for the system to record the new end date of the service.

Can other users (accounts) play free games on the console?
Yes. In this case, the account from which you downloaded the games must be present on the console, and the Plus subscription must be active on it.

Is it possible to delete a game from the console and then download it again?
Yes. Like all content on the PlayStation Store, you can download your games an unlimited number of times from the download list. It doesn't matter if it's available in the current PlayStation Plus offerings.

Can I download the game to another console?
Yes, from the list of downloads under your account. At the same time, there are restrictions on the number of simultaneously activated PS3 / Vita systems per account: 2 PS3 and 2 Vita.

Is it possible to add a game to your “collection” while it is in the current PS Plus offerings, but not download it directly to the console?
Yes. All you have to do is add it to your cart and complete the “purchase” so that the game appears in your download list. You can download it from there later at any time.

Is it possible to view/add free games without a PlayStation 3 or Vita?
Yes. Via the PlayStation Store website.

How can I find out what free games are/will be available to PlayStation Plus users?
The current range can be viewed on the PlayStation Store. For Russian (and other European) stores, announcements of future offers are made before the start of each month on the official blog. The dates for removal of current offers from the display window are also indicated there.

If you are one of those who have recently purchased or are about to purchase one of the PlayStation line consoles, we strongly recommend that you pay attention to the PS+ subscription, which allows you to enjoy many top games completely free of charge or purchase them at deep discounts.

PlayStation Plus allows owners of Vita, PS3, PS4 consoles to access the best games, and also offers many unique features. The subscription is paid and is available in three options: for a month (270 rubles), for 3 months (585 rubles) and for 12 months (1950 rubles).

The main undeniable advantage of PlayStation Plus is games. The list of favorite projects is updated monthly, but those you have already downloaded are saved throughout the entire subscription period. The games available for download include those that have received a rating of more than 70 on the Metacritic website. For example, by subscribing, you can get games like Bioshock Infinite, Pro Evolution Soccer 2014, Borderlands 2, Uncharted 3, Tomb Raider completely free of charge.

Once your subscription expires, you will no longer be able to use all downloaded materials. If your subscription is renewed, access to games will also resume. PlayStation Plus subscribers get huge discounts on titles outside of the Great Game Selection. Access to them remains after the subscription expires.

In addition, PlayStation Plus gives you the opportunity to check out many games before they are released. Subscribers are the first to get access to beta and demo versions of new products that have not yet been released.

The subscription is issued to the user's PSN account, thanks to which the service will be valid for all PlayStation consoles at your disposal. That is, by subscribing to PlayStation Plus once, you can play the best creations for free on PS3, PS4, and Vita.

PlayStation Plus is required for multiplayer play on PS4. For PS3 and Vita multiplayer, a subscription is optional. However, users of all systems will receive 1 GB of cloud storage for each platform, which will contain all game saves. This will allow you to continue playing the game not only from your console, but also from any other - while visiting a friend, for example.

You can subscribe on the PlayStation Store. You can get acquainted with the service completely free of charge. Everyone is offered a 14-day trial period, during which you can enjoy all the benefits of a subscription.

Who is PlayStation Plus most interesting to? Obviously, a subscription is a must for PlayStation 4 owners, since only with it can you enjoy multiplayer. However, it may be of no less interest to users who recently purchased a PS3 or Vita console and do not have an extensive collection of games. Subscribing immediately gives you free access to a huge number of the best projects - for a small fee you get access to the entire “legacy” of the PS3 era. So if you are the proud owner of a PlayStation console, then the PlayStation Plus service is a great opportunity to join the best games while saving a considerable part of your money.

We have already remembered the most significant “big” projects released on PS3. But don't forget about the "smaller" games that exist only in digital form. Old PS+ subscribers probably know about them - it's a rare blessing when projects of such high quality are available completely free of charge. If you have just now decided to subscribe, then you should definitely check out these games, since each of them has become a significant event in the gaming world.

    The Cave

Scientist, Monk, Gemini, Knight, Archaeologist, Hillbilly and Time Traveler - it would seem there is nothing that could unite these characters in one story. But the developers from Double Fine Productions think differently. We are all united by desires, dreams and fears. So the heroes of The Cave were brought together by the Cave, symbolizing the hidden depths of the soul of every person.

The Cave is an experimental quest with many gameplay features and plot branches. There are seven characters in the game, of which you will have to choose three for further progress. Each of them has their own story, their own goals, desires and hopes. The cave they have to enter is a test of the strength of spirit and the strength of their dreams, a kind of existential test.

Thus, the storyline and ending depend on your choice, of which there are several for each hero. In addition, all characters have their own superpowers, which greatly enriches and expands the gameplay. So, a Knight can become invulnerable, and a monk has telekinesis. By changing the set of heroes, you will encounter new obstacles and challenges.

All this gives The Cave huge replay potential. To see the story of all the characters, you will have to play through the game at least three times. However, each subsequent playthrough is a completely new memorable adventure, filled with humor, witty puzzles and riddles.

The Cave can be played with friends. The game supports co-op play for up to three people.

    Thomas was alone

If you've ever dreamed of knowing what it's like to be a Malevich square, then our next patient will be to your liking. Thomas was alone is a unique indie platformer made in an abstract style, in which we will have to play the role of... geometric shapes!

Yes, the project attracts attention, first of all, with its original visual style. The game world consists of clear rectangular shapes filled with monochromatic colors. But geometric shapes are just the outer shell. The red rectangle has its own name - Thomas. He tries to find his own purpose, which is why he goes on a journey around the world. He is not deprived of friends either: other polygons will help Thomas.

It turns out that all this abstract art can offer very entertaining game mechanics and quite interesting puzzles. Each of the main character figures has their own useful skills. Some can jump, some can swim, and some do not obey the laws of gravity. Thanks to this, Thomas was alone manages to offer truly diverse spatial puzzles with rather illogical ways of solving them.

If you love unusual sensations or are simply a fan of some kind of Suprematism, then you simply must pay attention to Thomas was alone.

    Guacamelee

Tequila, cacti, sombreros are perhaps the three things most associated with Mexico. However, after completing Guacamelee you will discover another facet of this wonderful country. Luchadores are the name given to Mexican wrestlers who strike fear into the hearts of their enemies with menacing masks.

As young luchador Juan, we must challenge the forces of darkness to save the world. Trite? Yes, but only until the game mechanics reach their full potential. The local combat system, which at first seems terribly primitive, towards the middle of the game turns into such a hardcore and exciting challenge that not everyone can cope with it.

The fact is that the feature of Guacamelee is the presence of two worlds - “living” and “dead”. Each location has its own appearance in both worlds, between which we can switch at any time. The problem stems from the fact that enemies, packaged in two dimensions, can attack us regardless of which world we are in. In order to hit a certain enemy, we must first “turn on” the dimension in which he lives.

The situation is further complicated by the fact that many opponents are susceptible only to a certain type of blow. We have all the wrestling techniques in our arsenal: uppercuts, hooks, super jumps, etc. You can create endless combinations of blows - and this is great, because the fights in Guacamelee look really impressive. However, so that our attacks do not hit “idly”, we will have to remember what color skeletons “love” attacks from above, which ones from the side, and which ones from below.

The same goes for platform puzzles to overcome space. It seems like nothing is difficult - jump from one platform to another, and you will get a carrot. In reality, everything turns out to be much more complicated: platforms also exist in different universes, and during the flight you need to manage to switch “mode” so as not to fall into the abyss.

Guacamelee turned out to be a very decent platformer with real hardcore gameplay and a very cute appearance. Great design and plenty of cultural references make for a truly memorable journey through the game's world.

    Do the Vikings want war?!

If there is such a thing as national pride, then the British suffered from it, about a thousand years ago, when the Vikings carried out many devastating raids on the British shores. The developers from Clever Beans decided to win back and take a rematch from the warlike Normans. Even in our time. Even in virtual space.

Plot: “Do the Vikings want war?!” starts boldly and decisively. On the streets of modern England, Vikings appear from nowhere, declaring war on all living things. However, the brave townspeople do not intend to tolerate the atrocities of unexpected invaders: representatives of different genders, ages and professions are ready to repel the invaders.

However, things will not come to a brutal massacre. Combat methods in “Do the Vikings Want War?!” quite pacifist: both sides prefer to throw various items of urban interior at their opponents. Lanterns, tractors, cabinets, tables, etc. are used. The gameplay is challenging in two ways: firstly, you need to grab similar objects and accurately throw them at the enemy group, and secondly, dodge enemy attacks. The action takes place in various urban locations, which gives the battles a lot of variety.

“Do the Vikings want war?!” is a simple entertaining game that does not require special skills or serious mental stress from the player. This is facilitated by colorful cartoon animation and funny sounds that accompany each action of the characters. The game can provide many fun hours, which are best spent with friends - in multiplayer the process is much more fun.

Last Wednesday Sony announced the latest selection of games for service subscribers PlayStation Plus this year, bringing the number of projects proposed to users to 72 . Did they turn out to be of high quality and how much would you have to pay for them if it weren’t for PS Plus? In other words, how paid is the service? Sony justified its cost 2016?

To find out this, the portal Polygon conducted (and we, like last year, checked everything and translated it into the not-so-rosy Russian realities) a detailed analysis of monthly games from PlayStation Plus. The analysis took into account both the total cost of the collections and all projects separately, their average rating (according to the portal Metacritic) and "age". Questions will not remain unanswered whether she spoke Sony publisher in the case of one or more games, and whether any of the participants in today's review were a guest in Xbox Live Games with Gold over the past couple of years.

Thus, for 2016 Russian subscribers PS Plus got 72 free games (6 per month) with an average score of 73.6 and total cost 74128 rubles / 78442 rubles(this is as much as 12/16 thousand more than last year) for three platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 And PlayStation Vita.

Why do games have two “common costs”? At the beginning of last month (and not only) prices for many projects in PlayStation Store have changed not for the better. And while the focus was on big-budget blockbusters like Battlefield 1 and Dishonored 2, the changes also affected countless independent and not-so-indie games, which we'll talk about in today's article.

In order not to be unfounded, we will say right away that the cost of the selections was checked both by PlayStation Store, and using the service PS Prices. This made it possible to establish the difference between the prices of games at the time of their distribution and today. In the text, this difference is reflected in the form of two sums for each month and year as a whole: the first is indicated at the time the games appeared in the selection, the second (the one in parentheses) – as of today.

Some projects were available on several platforms at once PlayStation. In these cases, the rating of the game was taken into account only for the conditionally main console.

    January

    • Grim Fandango Remastered ( PS4, PS Vita)
    • Hardware: Rivals ( PS4)
    • Dragon Age: Origins ( PS3)
    • Medal of Honor: Warfighter ( PS3)
    • History: Legends of War (PS Vita)
    • Nihilumbra (PS Vita)

    Average score: 68.5
    Average age: 2.6 years
Total amount: 6025 rubles (6814 rubles)
In short: It's rare that a game simultaneously pulls in the average score. Metacritic down and “inflates” the total cost of the selection, but Medal of Honor: Warfighter is exactly such a case. PS Plus starts 2016 the worst month in terms of the specialized press.

    February

    • Helldivers ( PS4, PS3, PS Vita)
    • Nom Nom Galaxy ( PS4)
    • Nova-111 ( PS4, PS3, PS Vita)
    • GRID: Autosport ( PS3)
    • Persona 4 Arena Ultimax ( PS3)
    • Lemmings Touch ( PS Vita)

    Average score: 74.3
    Average age: 1.5 years
Total amount: 7877 rubles (7918 rubles)
In short: Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is by far the standout game of this month, but if it doesn't interest you, then the entire selection isn't anything memorable.

    March

    • Broforce ( PS4)
    • Galak-Z: The Dimensional ( PS4)
    • Super Stardust HD ( PS3)
    • The Last Guy ( PS3)
    • Reality Fighters ( PSVita)
    • Flame Over ( PS Vita)

    Average score: 72.5
    Average age: 3.8 years
Total amount: 4312 rubles (4779 rubles)
In short: Broforce and Galak-Z: The Dimensional are great games if you like indie takes on old-school side-scrollers and run-and-gun games. You most likely have not even heard of the other four participants in the selection.

    April

    • Dead Star ( PS4)
    • Zombie ( PS4)
    • I'm Alive ( PS3)
    • Savage Moon ( PS3)
    • A Virus Named Tom (PS Vita)
    • Shutshimi (PS Vita)

    Average score: 72.3
    Average age: 2.2 years
Total amount: 4899 rubles (5142 rubles)
In short: Zombi was the first game from a major publisher since January. In four months PS Plus made it clear that this year will be an even bigger holiday for fans of unknown indies than the last.

    • Tropico 5 ( PS4)
    • Table Top Racing: World Tour ( PS4)
    • Switch Galaxy Ultra ( PS4, PS Vita)
    • Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 (PS3)
    • LocoRoco Cocoreccho! ( PS3)
    • God of War: Ghost of Sparta ( PSP/PS Vita)

    Average score: 71.8
    Average age: 3.8
Total amount: 6985 rubles (7120 rubles)
In short: Tropico 5 is, of course, an interesting choice, but if Sony didn’t take advantage of time-tested games like Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 and God of War: Ghost of Sparta, this could be one of the weakest months of the year.

    June

    • NBA 2K16 ( PS4)
    • Gone Home ( PS4)
    • echochrome( PS3)
    • Siren: Blood Curse ( PS3)
    • God of War: Chains of Olympus ( PSP/PS Vita)
    • Little Deviants ( PS Vita)

    Average score: 79.8
    Average age: 4.8 years
Total amount: 7663 rubles (7839 rubles)
In short: Even though the little-known, but no less mediocre Little Deviants was on this month's list, this month was able to become the best of the year in terms of average score thanks to several critical darlings: for example, another portable God of War and NBA 2K16.

    July

    • Saints Row IV: Gat Out of Hell ( PS4)
    • Furi ( PS4)
    • Fat Princess ( PS3)
    • Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood ( PS3)
    • Prince of Persia: Revelations (PSP/PS Vita)
    • Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines ( PS Vita)

    Average score: 73.7
    Average age: 4.5 years
Total amount: 5468 rubles (6096 rubles)
In short: Another month, and there's still nothing on the horizon that resembles a big-budget game, which by this point would look like a black sheep compared to seven months of selective indie. Yes, it is included in the selection Prince of Persia, but it’s for a portable console, and the series Call of Juarez For Ubisoft- no matter what Kane & Lynch For Square Enix.

    August

    • Rebel Galaxy ( PS4)
    • Tricky Towers (PS4)
    • Ultratron ( PS4, PS3, PS Vita)
    • Retro/Grade (PS3)

    • Patapon 3 ( PS Vita)

    Average score: 73.3
    Average age: 3 years
Total amount: 6624 rubles (7134 rubles)
In short: With two relatively unknown indie projects at the helm, this month won't be remembered for much of anything. The only exceptions are Yakuza 5 and perhaps Patapon 3.

    September

    • Lords of the Fallen ( PS4)
    • Journey ( PS4, PS3)
    • Badland: Game of the Year Edition ( PS4, PS3, PS Vita)

    • Amnesia: Memories (PS Vita)

    Average score: 73.3
    Average age: 3 years
Total amount: 5915 rubles (6553 rubles)
In short: Everyone should play Journey, but PS4-the version of this game is not much different from the original sample 2012. Lords of the Fallen visited PS Plus after having already been in the selection from Microsoft for March. As for the other games, then Sony once again forces its users to climb into "Wikipedia" to make a decision about downloading a particular project.

    October

    • Mad Riders (PS3)

    • Actual Sunlight (PS Vita)

    Average score: 78.7
    Average age: 2.2 years
Total amount: 8341 ruble (8932 rubles)
In short: Transformers: Devastation is fun beat 'em up in the style of cartoons of the 90s, which, together with the re-release of the original Resident Evil helps make the October selection the most valuable (from a financial perspective) of the year.

    November

    • Everybody's Gone to the Rapture ( PS4)
    • The Deadly Tower of Monsters ( PS4)
    • Costume Quest 2 ( PS3)
    • Colin McRae: DiRT 3 ( PS3)
    • Letter Quest Remastered (PS4, PS Vita)

    Average score: 73.3
    Average age: 1.5 years
Total amount: 5878 rubles (5974 rubles)
In short: Everybody's Gone to the Rapture could have appealed to the respectable public if they hadn't gotten tired of games in the "walking simulator" genre. Colin McRae: DiRT 3 is another good race from Codemasters, albeit not for everyone.

    December

    • Invisible, Inc. ( PS4)
    • Stories: The Path of Destinies ( PS4)
    • Tiny Troopers Joint Ops (PS4, PS3, PS Vita)
    • Hyper Void (PS3)
    • Color Guardians ( PS4, PS Vita)
    • VVVVVV (PS Vita)

    Average score: 72.2
Average age: less than a year
    Total amount: 4141 ruble
In short: The final chord is two indie hits framed by four games that no one has heard of.

    Conclusion

Average rating of all games offered to subscribers PlayStation Plus this year, two and a half points lower than its main competitor. It is also worth noting that not a single selection was able to overcome the barrier in 80 points, while Xbox Games With Gold there were two such cases. Closest to this point PS Plus found itself in June thanks to the annual sports simulator from 2K Games and an eight-year-old game with PSP. In the same time Sony has already ceased to please the owners of the already half-dead PlayStation Vita at least somewhat new and high-quality projects, which also does not make the situation better.

Last year PlayStation Plus acted as a showcase for indie games. This approach can work if you have breakthrough hits like Rocket League. IN 2016, however, there were too many selections in which even the most recognizable projects had too narrow a focus. It was possible to skip some months completely with a clear conscience, which, considering as many as three target platforms, is an extremely bad result.

When the PS4 console first appeared on the market, it immediately began to fly apart. Some stores even decided to cheat - they sold the console only in conjunction with another product. Customers still willingly bought Playstation.
People who bought a PS4 immediately began to immerse themselves in the game worlds. You could play any game and enjoy the magnificent views and characters. It was just impossible to play multiplayer. To be able to play games online, you need a PS Plus subscription.

    Advantages of subscription

Why do you need a Playstation Plus subscription? There are 10 reasons to splurge and buy it.
    1) Of course, the most important reason to purchase a subscription is the ability to play online. Without a subscription, you can only play “single”, but it will not bring as much pleasure as multiplayer. Today, many games allow you to play with other people. This alone is worth paying for a subscription.
    2) The opportunity to try a demo version of the game 2 months before its release is also an equally important reason to purchase a subscription. This gives you the opportunity to try out the game before you buy it.
    3) Are you wondering: why do you need Playstation Plus? It gives you a whopping 10GB of cloud storage to save your game data. 10 GB is quite a lot. If you played a game for a year, deleted it, and then decided to play again, you can restore your saves using the cloud. Most likely, in the future it will be possible to store more data, but right now 10 GB is a nice gift.
    4) Sometimes it becomes possible to purchase games completely free of charge. Don't forget to look at this section of the PS Store.
    5) Constant discounts on games. The discount can reach 600 rubles, if you're lucky. Buying a new product for 600 rubles cheaper is very nice.
    6) Why do I need a Playstation Plus subscription for PS4 from premium.guru? Not only games can be purchased at a discount, but also various add-ons for games. Nowadays the trend in the games market is that add-ons are released very often, and this means good savings.
    7) A little more about discounts. In online games, there are times when the player can receive double experience. It's nice to get double discounts from your subscription at this time. Instead of a regular discount, you get a double discount.
    8) After subscribing, be sure to visit the official Playstation group on VK. If you provide your account information to the group administration, you will be able to take part in numerous games. In addition, you can get a lot of useful information about certain games.
    9) The Share Play function allows you to test any game before purchasing it. This makes it possible to avoid purchasing games that you decide to abandon after a couple of days.
    10) Subscription is inexpensive. Spending about 250 rubles per month on pleasant bonuses is not that much. That's about what it costs to go to the cinema these days. Anyone can spend that amount. By the way, buying a PlayStation Plus subscription card for 365 days will be cheaper than if you subscribe every month. It is more profitable to purchase an annual subscription and not worry about anything for a whole year. Moreover, the website premium.guru offers good discounts on the entire range of products.

Many owners of Sony consoles have come across Plus, but not everyone knows what it is and what this function provides. PlayStation Plus is a paid subscription that is valid for PS3, PS4, PS Vita consoles. It is suitable or even necessary for those users who constantly play on their console, try new games, and often buy them through the Store.

For active gamers, Sony offers a PlayStation Plus subscription.

    What does it give?

A PS Plus subscription allows you to save money and also try things that are closed to regular players.

How much does Plus cost? Here it may seem to many that everything is not so comforting. One month will cost 449 rubles, three months - 999 rubles. But an annual PlayStation Plus subscription can be purchased for 3,199 rubles. In fact, this will allow you to save a lot of money, because in a year you will receive 24 video games for your console, each of which costs about a thousand rubles.

So, we have found out the advantages of “Plus”, let’s figure out how to activate and how to disable this function.

    How to connect

It's pretty easy to connect. Still, it is in Sony's interests to ensure that as many players as possible sign up.

    1. We go to the PlayStation Store.
    2. Open the PS Plus section.
    3. We choose the option we need, pay and connect.

If you have never used Plus before, a free trial version will be available to you. It will be available for 14 days.

Naturally, you should first activate a trial subscription, and only then switch to a paid one, even if you have money right away. In addition, you can check the “Automatic renewal of subscription” checkbox. So, when, for example, a month has passed, money will be debited from the card in order to extend it for another month.

    How to unsubscribe

Not everyone likes these prices or maybe someone doesn't spend that much time on video games, so there will be those who want to cancel their subscription. This is also easy to do.

IMPORTANT. But hurry up: if you have an activated trial version and have money on the linked card, after two weeks with auto-renewal enabled, your funds will be withdrawn, and activation will last for a month.

If you did not check the “Automatic renewal” option, then you should not think about how to cancel your subscription. It deactivates itself at the end of the period. You will notice this when you are left without games downloaded for free. If automatic renewal was turned on, you need to cancel the subscription yourself so that it does not eat up all the money from the card.

    1. We go to this website: https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/.
    2. Let's log in.
    3. Open account settings.
    4. Select the “Multimedia” tab, then “All media”.
    5. We find PS Plus in the list.
    6. Click on the line.
    7. Disable automatic updates.

All! We were able to successfully cancel our Plus subscription. After this, it will not be automatically renewed.

Buying a PS4 is the door to the world of cutting-edge games of the decade, also in excellent quality, without unnecessary thoughts about the performance of your hardware. In principle, this set of advantages of the console is already enough for an average gamer. However, for PS4 users (besides, there are a lot of tricks, many of them will allow you to pay less for quite expensive (for the CIS) games, and some will not pay for them at all. So, our top 5 secrets of buying games for PS4:

    Buying PS4 games for two

The Playstation Network actually includes the ability to purchase games for two people, which reduces the price by half. Let’s say right away that you must completely trust the second person, since you need to provide him with your PSN account, and he will give you his. Actually, here is the method for buying PS4 games for two with a friend:

    1. Transfer information about your PSN account login and password to a friend
    2. Go to the PS4 settings, then to “Activate as primary PS4 system”, there select “Deactivate”.
    3. A friend logs into the same PS4 settings under your account and, on the contrary, selects “Activation with main account.”
    4. You take the password and login of your friend’s account, log in under it, and in the same settings activate it as the main one.

Voila, now each of you can download each other’s games, and if your PS+ subscription is active, you can even play the same game online at the same time. The subscription works according to the principle: the PS+ of an activated account applies to all deactivated ones, and free games from PS+ are available to everyone. But to prevent them from expiring, you must always renew your subscription on the same account.

This method has only one small inconvenience related to the fact that when you turn on the console, it must be connected to the Internet in order for your friend’s games to be available. Nevertheless, such sharing of PS4 games is absolutely legal; Sony themselves have left this opportunity to share purchased games between friends and relatives. If they did not want to put up with such a function, they could simply make a rigid connection of the console to one account. So use it to your health without fear of getting banned!

    Share Play

Share Play is another PS4 feature that lets you play together, but only pay once. This feature allows you to create a local game session over the Internet with any PS4 user. The latter may not have the game you want, but will still be able to join your session. To launch Share Play, you need:

    1. Launch the game on PS4
    2. Press the SHARE button on the gamepad
    3. On the screen that appears, select “Pass the controller to the visitor” and then select “Co-op”

After these steps, another controller will appear in the running game, which can be controlled by a second player via the Internet. And once again: he doesn’t need to buy the game. What are the limitations of the Share Play mode: the maximum number of participants is 2, and they must be friends on PSN; The duration of one session is 60 minutes, then you need to reconnect; Saves and achievements are saved only by the owner of the game. In general, this mode does not have any serious disadvantages; it is an official way to invite a friend to play a game together that he does not own. Only on the Internet, and not on the same couch.

Buying PS4 games on US PSN

This trick is directly related to saving on purchases of PS4 games for one loved one. For Sony, Russia and the CIS countries are considered Europe, and therefore our pricing policy is appropriate. In the USA, prices are sometimes slightly and sometimes significantly lower than in Europe. From here it becomes possible to buy games directly on the American PSN. What is needed for this:

    1. Create an American account on your console (select country USA)
    2. Top up your wallet using special dollar cards (you won’t be able to attach a Russian bank card to an American account)
    3. Go to the PS Store and buy the game you want

This method of saving on PS4 games is suitable only for those who are not afraid of the English language; Russian will not be available in games. In addition, if you want to play online from an American account, you will need a separate PS+ subscription for it. The subscription will not be distributed from your main account.

Coupons and promotional codes in Mvideo and Eldorado

Finally we get to the disc versions for PS4. Most often, when released, games on media and digital versions cost approximately the same. However, if nothing can be done with the price in the Russian PSN, then reducing the price in retail stores is quite possible. For example, in Mvideo there is a coupon for 500 rubles for any purchase up to 2500 rubles (which corresponds to the price of a PS4 disc). Also very often, both Mvideo and Eldorado organize promotions with coupons for SMS. Coupon denominations: from 1000 to 7000, you can pay up to 30% of the purchase, which also suits us. In addition, there are bugs with these coupons (picture above). So in October 2017, it was possible to purchase games (and everything else) virtually for free. Using promotional codes it was possible to pay off the entire purchase price. The main thing you need to keep an eye on when using promotional codes is the stop lists of stores; products are added there to which any promotional codes are not applicable.

Buying games with a PS Plus subscription

One of the benefits of a PS Plus subscription, along with free games every month, is additional discounts for subscribers. These are often discounts for AAA pre-orders (usually 10%), as well as “enhanced” discounts. List . So the discount on the promotion for an ordinary PSN user can be 30%, and for a PS+ subscriber 60%. Therefore, it’s always worth considering whether it’s cheaper
