To receive a parcel sent by IML courier service, you will most likely need to clear it through customs.
For customs clearance, you will be required to provide passport information; if you do not provide it, the parcel will go back to the seller in China.

Despite the abundance of ways to deliver goods from China, the number of logistics services involved in this continues to grow steadily. This time, we will analyze IML Express tracking in detail. How to track an IML Express order from China

To begin with, let's look at tracking IML Express orders from China, using an example. As expected, a few days after payment, the seller changes the order status to “Shipped” and adds a track code and the delivery service to which it belongs to the order information.

Many people mistakenly try to immediately track the movement of their parcel, but of course nothing good comes of it. Firstly, it is not a fact that the seller actually sent the goods on the same day that he issued the track code, and secondly, updating statuses about the movement occurs with a slight delay.

Due to recent changes in the field of international courier delivery, during customs clearance you will receive a letter to the specified e-mail with a link to fill out your passport data.

IML statuses and IML Express reviews

The order is expected from the online store at the IML warehouse- what does it mean? The status means that the seller informed IML about the upcoming shipment and reserved the shipment number in the IML system. The seller will soon package your item and hand it over to IML for shipping.

IML Expected in stock. This status means the same as the status above, the seller or online store has not yet handed over your parcel for transportation.

IML Post office pickup. The parcel was transferred to Russian Post and arrived at your post office. You can pick up the parcel by presenting your passport and the new 14-digit track code that IML informed you.

IML Transit. The parcel is on its way and there is no need to worry. New statuses will appear on each step of the way.

IML Russian customs - transit. The parcel undergoes customs procedures in Russia where it is checked for substances and goods prohibited for import, and also whether you have exceeded the duty-free limit for importing goods into Russia. Next, the parcel will be delivered to the IML warehouse in Moscow and sent to you.

IML Expected in delivery region. This means that the seller created a request for shipment, but did not physically transfer the order to IML. If the item was sent from a Russian store, then as soon as the order is transferred to the IML warehouse, the status “Moscow, in warehouse” will immediately appear.

If the parcel comes from China, then this status will remain until the parcel crosses the border of China with Russia and reaches the IML warehouse in Moscow. The service delivers items within 10-14 days from the date the goods arrive in Russia. The total time it takes for a parcel to travel from the Chinese warehouse to the client is stated to be 15 days. 2. The intermediate statuses “Arrived at destination” and “Parcel released for delivery” are misleading.

And at the moment when IML transfers the parcel to the post office, the following statuses appear in the tracking:

• - The parcel has been issued for delivery

In regular tracking, these statuses mean that the package is ready for pickup. But in the case of IML this is not always true. Since the IML company does not have couriers and delivery points in all cities, for delivery to such cities they transfer the parcel to regular mail, which will deliver your order to the local post office.

Therefore the statuses "Arrived at destination" And “Parcel released for delivery” may mean that the parcel has arrived at Russian Post. And after 3-14 days you will need to receive it at your post office. Just like you receive regular shipments.

3. The parcel has the status “delivered”, but you did not receive it.

What to do in such a situation?
