    Powerpoint download without registration. Installing PowerPoint

    PowerPoint is an easy-to-learn program that is used all over the world for presentations in businesses and classrooms. PowerPoint downloads are equally suitable for large audiences and small groups, where they can be used for marketing, training, educational and other purposes. Download Powerpoint and it will be part of the Microsoft Office software package. It is most commonly used to prepare slides for oral presentations and, in fact, many lectures will be prepared by the audience using it.

    Overhead Projectors and Screen Shows. The latter format is used for data projectors in lecture halls. The viewing dimensions can also be adjusted to suit a variety of non-standard ones, which allows it to be used for preparing poster presentations.

    Opening Powerpoint

    Log into your file space as usual and launch Powerpoint by opening it from Start > Programs > Microsoft Office menu

    Creating a Blank Poster

    Powerpoint should open from a single page created with default settings. Include text spaces for the title and subtitle. There should be a sidebar on the right side of the screen, click “start new presentation.” If it's not shown, open it

    Select File>New From the sidebar, click "blank presentation" and you will be presented with a number of options for the layout of the observation deck. First in the Content Layouts section. This will turn the viewing area completely empty.

    Now we need to resize the viewport.

    Click File>Settings>Pages, select custom (scroll down) in the slide size section:

    Now you need to enter the parameters for your poster. We want this to be A1, so enter 84.1 and 59.4 in the width and height cell. Click OK.

    Please note, these numbers must be accurate, but it is up to you to decide the page setting (portrait or landscape). Blank poster created.

    Please note that once you download Powerpoint, it will automatically detect the size of the page and computer screen. You will see in the toolbar at the top of the screen that your project is displayed at 27% of its true value. Change this value to 100% to see what it looks like at full size.

    Basic principles

    The background can be anything. Simple color, gradients image. However, backgrounds that are too complex will be distracting.

    To change the default color (white)

    • Click “Format” > “Background”.

    The window that opens assumes you are making a slide with histograms, etc. Ignore this and select the window below. You will be presented with a primary color option, additional options and fill effects.

    Click More Options and choose a color from the chart or create your own custom tab selection.

    OK>apply and the background color will change.

    Now you need to add objects such as text, charts and pictures in the background. Each element occupies its own layer, which extends. Although the item you added may only be small. Think of paintable overlay transparencies that are applied to a background on top of others. The position of these layers in the stack can be changed, as you will see. Items are inserted by selecting the Paste command from the menu and selecting the type of object you want to insert.

    Add text

    The text in the fields is drawn on top of the background.

    • Insert>Text Field

    Hover your cursor over the drawing area. Notice how the cursor changes to indicate that you are creating a text field. Left-click anywhere in the viewing area and enter text in the field. After you add text to a field, the field and text can be formatted in a variety of ways. Select the text field by right-clicking anywhere inside it and then:

    • Format>TextField.

    Experiment with the different options presented. Any number of fields will be created, formatted differently, and placed in different positions. Remember that each one occupies a layer that will be visible when two or more matches.

    Add an image

    • Insert>picture>from file

    Browse to the image file in your file space (H:), select it, and then click Insert. It will appear in the viewing area. Flagging Images can be a challenge because they will be resized by simply selecting the photo, hovering over one of the corners, and dragging it across the entire page. While this will produce an acceptable result on a computer screen that displays pictures at 72 dpi, it will be completely unacceptable when printing at the 300 dpi that AVS will use for printing. You need to evaluate the quality of the photo by test printing in black and white in the required setting on A4 paper.

    Adding Shapes

    Download PowerPoint so you can see how it provides various forms that will be formatted. Find the drawing toolbar, which is usually located in the lower left corner of the screen. This allows you to insert lines, arrows, rectangles, ellipses, as well as an alternate route to enable text field and image insertion among other options. In Autoshapes you will find more complex shapes. The drawn figure can be formatted, including a 3D representation. Spend some time experimenting with different

    Forms and formatting.

    Shapes can be used to create the border of a poster, by drawing a rectangle take up all the available space except for a small area around the edge. The color of the rectangle is different from the background and you create a border. Borders can be effective, but make sure the colors don't clash.

    Positioning objects on the page

    The layer that an item occupies relative to other layers can be changed, then select it. You need to move elements around the page by selecting and dragging them with your cursor. They can also rotate by grabbing and dragging the rotating-handle marked inside.

    You can use a grid to arrange elements on a page

    • View>Grids And Guides.

    You can also snap everything to a grid or even to other objects. Another positioning tool allows you to align them relative to each other.

    • Draw>align or distribute.

    Once you download PowerPoint you will realize that there is much more to it than what has been covered and you are encouraged to explore many different options. However, you are not advised to produce an overly complex poster because it will be distracting.

    Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 is an updated release of the popular application for creating various types of multimedia presentations. This version of the program has new opportunities for collaboration on projects, a convenient and functional interface, and even more tools for creating high-quality and interesting slides.

    Like all earlier versions, the application is part of the Microsoft Office suite, however, if you do not need its other components and just need a program for creating presentations, you have the opportunity to download PowerPoint 2010 separately, as a standalone product.

    The program's direct relationship with the Office suite ensures its full compatibility with other components. So, you can export and import data between applications without any difficulty.

    New features and tools in Microsoft PowerPoint 2010

    1. As with everything else in Office 2010, the familiar Microsoft button has been replaced with a Backstage view. Now it's easier than ever to manage, save, print, co-edit, and get detailed information about your project.
    2. The presentation collaboration function, significantly improved in PowerPoint 2010, allows multiple authors to simultaneously make edits and create slides for one project. At the same time, the file is not blocked for modification by other users.
    3. Configurable option to save changes made. At the time of saving, several versions of the document are created, and you can always return to an earlier version of the project in case you accidentally save unwanted changes.
    4. New in PowerPoint 2010, access to the SharePoint server allows you to work with a presentation anywhere, while saving changes occurs instantly, which avoids data loss.
    5. Support for full functionality for working on mobile devices running Windows Phone 7.
    6. New possibilities for editing and using photos and videos. With this release, videos become an integral part of the presentation and are retained when the file is moved. You can also use videos from the web (such as YouTube) by adding a link to the video. In addition, tools for video editing, overlaying and synchronizing text, color correction, and creating bookmarks have become available. To work with drawings, you can use updated options: shadows, borders, glow, anti-aliasing, reliefs, rotations, displays, background removal and ready-made filters for creating graphic effects.
    7. An expanded selection of refined, smooth animation transitions to create dynamic slides.
    8. New features for shapes and SmartArt objects in PowerPoint 2010 let you create unique structures, formatting information for clarity and easier comprehension.
    9. Sharing the finished result has become even easier! The ability to convert a slideshow to video allows you to combine all the slides and elements into a single file without losing quality. Using this method of saving a project, you can share the presentation by attaching it to an email, burning it to a disc for playback on DVD, saving it in cloud storage with the ability to download the video at the right time. When you save a presentation as a video, you have customizable file size and image quality options.

    The list of features and innovations presented above is not exhaustive. Each user will find irreplaceable options and tools for themselves. The ability to download Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 for free makes this presentation tool one of the most popular among users around the world.

    Despite the rather extensive functionality, the application is quite undemanding in terms of the technical characteristics of the device:

    PowerPoint 2010 System Requirements

    • processor with a frequency of 500 MHz;
    • RAM capacity of at least 256 MB (when working with video, you will need RAM from 512 MB);
    • at least 1.5 GB of free memory on your hard drive.

    What is PowerPoint? This is a presentation program included in the Microsoft Office suite. Uses a graphical approach to presentations in the form of slide shows that accompany the speaker's online presentation. This program is widely used in business and educational classes and is an effective teaching tool.

    What is PowerPoint?

    PowerPoint is one of the easiest computer programs to learn. It is the number one software used worldwide for creating presentations. Any beginner can create stunning presentations that look like they were designed by a professional.

    Microsoft PowerPoint software is used to create professional slide shows that can be displayed on projectors or large screen TVs. The product of this software is called a presentation. Typically, the presenter speaks to the audience and uses a Microsoft Office PowerPoint presentation for visuals to capture the listeners' attention and add visual information.

    Story

    PowerPoint was first developed by Dennis Austin and Thomas Rudkin at Forethought Inc. The product was supposed to be named Presenter, but the trademark could not be registered. In 1987, the program was renamed PowerPoint (the idea for the new name belongs to Robert Gaskins). In August of that year, Microsoft bought Forethought for $14 million and turned it into its business unit, where it continued to develop software. The first iteration of Microsoft PowerPoint launched with Windows 3.0 in 1990. It allowed you to scroll through slides in one direction (forward only), and the number of settings was quite limited.

    What is PowerPoint in the modern sense? The program has undergone significant changes in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 97 - full transition effects and automatic slide movement have been added. This allowed the presenter to follow the plan and continue speaking without interruption.

    How to download the program?

    PowerPoint is a program that enhances the visualization of oral presentation and allows the audience to focus on the subject matter. It works on the old slide show principle, but uses modern technology in the form of computers and digital projectors.

    The product is included in the Microsoft Office suite and is also available as:

    • separate program for PC on Windows and Mac;
    • part of a PowerPoint subscription in Office 365;
    • PowerPoint Online is a completely free version of PowerPoint that can be used in a web browser;
    • application for Android and iOS mobile devices.

    If you download the program as a separate component, download the installation file only from the official Microsoft website.

    How to make a presentation in PowerPoint?

    PowerPoint comes with many templates that set the tone of your presentation. New users usually choose template options, replace text and images with their own, add additional slides, their own content, icons and graphics. There is also the option to select special effects, slide transitions, music, graphics and animations - all of which are built into the software to enrich the experience for the audience.

    Each page in a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation is called a slide. Backgrounds can be applied to individual or all slides in a presentation. Backgrounds can be solid colors, gradient fills, textures, or images. The term "animation" is used in Microsoft Office PowerPoint to describe movements applied to objects on slides. One or more objects on a slide can be animated.

    Design themes were first introduced in version 2007. They function in the same way as design templates in earlier versions of Microsoft Office PowerPoint. A very convenient feature of design themes is that you can immediately see the effect reflected on your slides before making a decision.

    The program offers several different ways to add clips and images to your presentation. The easiest way to do this is to choose a slide layout and add your content.

    PowerPoint files are saved with the PPS or PPTX file extension, although the original PPS format is used for compatibility with older versions of PowerPoint and viewing software.

    Group work

    PowerPoint Sharing - What is it? Although PP is often used by one person, the program also supports collaboration on presentations.

    In this case, the document is saved online on OneDrive or SharePoint, and collaborative editing is enabled by sharing a link and co-editing.

    Go to the Review tab at the top of the program and click the New Comment button - here you can leave notes and move them on the screen for other team members to see. Comments can be a particularly useful tool for explaining changes made and are visible to everyone involved in co-editing.

    You can also upload your presentation to such websites, including all the slides and notes. To do this, go to “File”, “Save and Send” and “Create Video”. The document will be saved in WMV format, which can be played on Windows Media Player and can be uploaded to most video sites.

    Application area

    Microsoft PowerPoint is in demand for all types of business and personal presentations. Among them:

    • classes for employees;
    • product launch;
    • sales meetings;
    • demonstrations for exhibitions;
    • club meetings;
    • public performance;
    • marketing strategies;
    • quarterly presentations;
    • business plans.

    A PP presentation is equally effective for large audiences and small groups.

    Analogues

    Microsoft Office PowerPoint is by far the most popular program for creating presentations. About 35 million PPT files are released every day. Although this software solution has several competitors, they all lack PP's global reach. Apple's Keynote software is similar to Microsoft Office PowerPoint and comes free on all Macs, but they only have a tiny share of the entire presentation software user base.

    Death by PowerPoint: Myth or Truth?

    Death by PowerPoint is a popular English-language term that arose with the growing popularity of this program. This is a phenomenon caused by poor use of presentation software.

    Key factors to avoid when creating presentations:

    • confusing graphics;
    • a pile of pictures;
    • inconsistently structured information;
    • too much content on the page;
    • slides with a lot of text and speakers;
    • inconsistent document style.

    If the presentation is unsuccessful and unconvincing, the audience remains emotionally disconnected from the content presented, and the effectiveness of the speaker's presentation is significantly reduced.

    Some important tips for creating a successful presentation:

      Do not put the entire text of the speech on a slide - reflect only the key points.

      Don't use too many objects on one page. This distracts the audience's attention.

      Don't overdo it with animation! Too many animated objects distract listeners.

    Microsoft Office can easily be called one of the most popular office suites. Unfortunately, not everyone can purchase this creation from the software giant, because in order to fully enjoy the functionality of Microsoft Office, you will have to spend a tidy sum. Therefore, Microsoft decided to release a number of free tools that represent individual functions of their well-known package. A good example of such a program is PowerPoint Viewer. As the name suggests, this program serves as a tool for viewing documents (in particular presentations) created in PowerPoint.

    The advantages of the program include support for documents created both in earlier versions of the program and in the most recent ones. As well as support for a large number of formats, including .ppt, .pot, .potm, .pptm, .pps, .potx, .ppsx and .ppsm. The utility allows you to easily switch to full-screen mode, display graphic effects added to the presentation, and play audio. The tool allows you to print presentation slides or add comments to them. The main and, most likely, only drawback of the application is the inability to make changes to the document. In general, we have a useful program that will be useful to people who have to work with presentations. Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer will especially help those who do not want or do not have the opportunity to work with a full-fledged Microsoft Office office suite.
