Openbox x800 firmware. Firmware for Openbox X800 tuners Latest firmware for openbox x800 tuner

    Openbox X800 firmware

To flash the Openbox X800 tuner, you will need the flashing program F-300_Updater_v1.01_ru, the firmware itself (the list of firmwares is given below) and a null modem cable.

    Openbox x800 firmware process

    1. Connect the tuner to the COM port of the computer via a null modem cable. This should only be done when the tuner is turned off from the network!!!

    2. Launch the program F-300_Updater_v1.01_ru.

    3. In the menu, select the COM port to which our tuner will be connected, in most cases it is COM-1 (it is possible that your port will be COM-2, when using a USB to COM adapter, the port may be located on COM-7, COM-8).

    4. Click File, then Open and select the firmware we need.

    5. Now press the “Record” button, after which we will see a message in the “Connecting...” program window and only after that we turn on the tuner to the network. The firmware process has begun.

    6. We are waiting for the completion of the firmware change process. Upon completion, the program will display a corresponding message

    7. That’s it, the tuner is flashed, first disconnect it from the network, then from the computer.

So, let's start flashing the Openbox 8XX receiver!!

    1.
First, download the software, namely the program x-800_updater_v1.2 and the required firmware (file with the extension .wsw, for example: OpenboxX800_Ver(0A10).wsw). Here is the page where you can download all this:

    2. You need a null modem cable (RS-232), you can buy it in a store, make it yourself, or take it from me, this is what it looks like (the computer must have such a connector (COM port)):

    3. Instructions for working with the software update program and the update itself.

Warning: you will reflash the receiver at your own peril and risk. If something goes wrong, or you upload non-original or crooked software, or during the flashing process the lights in the house are turned off, then in this case your tuner will not be subject to warranty repairs and you will either have to send it in for repairs and the repairs will be carried out at your expense, or restore the tuner's functionality on your own using JTAG.

To avoid at least half of these problems, I advise you to purchase a UPS (UPS) and power your computer and receiver from it at the time of flashing.

To update the software, you must follow the following sequence:

    1. Connect the receiver via a null modem cable to the COM port of the computer. This must be done when the receiver is turned off from the network, since due to static voltage in your receiver or computer, the microcircuit responsible for the COM port may burn out.

    2. Launch the program x-800_updater_v1.2 and in the Som-port menu select the appropriate port

    3. Open the desired software in the program by clicking on the File menu - Open

    5. Now press the Record button, which should display the message - Connection in the program information window

    6. Connect the tuner to a 220V network

    8. The message “Update” will appear in the program’s info window and a bar will run at the bottom showing the download percentage

    9. After the bar reaches 100%, the message will appear - wait, don’t turn it off! . Now, under no circumstances should you turn off the receiver from the network, because The Flash programming process has begun.

    10. You must wait until “8” appears on the front display of the receiver and the corresponding inscription in the program x-800_updater_v1.2- The update is complete.

    11. This means that the process of replacing the receiver’s software has completed and now you need to turn it off from the 220V network for a few seconds.

    12. After turning on the receiver, you will need to go to the menu - Installation and select the item - Reset settings, agree to the reset warning and enter the PIN code (default 9200). The latter is done if any fundamental changes have been made to the firmware, for example memory redistribution.

In other cases, resetting the settings is not necessary, as this leads to the loss of channel data.

    13. Enter the emulator menu to show encrypted channels

To do this, press the “Menu” button on the receiver and immediately press the sequence of numbers 1117 , after which we see.

The openbox X800 satellite receiver has changed its design and appearance. You can watch satellite channels using biss keys. In addition, manufacturers have added a card reader to work with official conditional access cards. With the help of these access cards, it became possible to view encoded TV channels in the encodings of Viaccess, Mediaguard, SECA, Irdeto, Conax, Videoguard, Cryptoworks, Nagravision and others.

Manufacturers have tried and changed the appearance of the receiver, improved the circuitry, added a card reader, a new input scanning unit made on a Zarlink chip, which excellently scans transponders of satellite channels, both at low speed and at higher speed.

To flash the openbox X800 satellite receiver, use the bootloader program from the openbox f300 satellite tuner.
