    Vodafone smartphone package standard. Vodafone (MTS) Ukraine - “Smartphone Standard”: conditions and connection. How to connect a “Standard Smartphone” to your phone and its basic conditions

    The list of Vodafone tariff packages has always included a limited number of tariff plans with a fixed subscription fee. The emergence of a new package of services and offers included in the “Smartphone Standard” tariff from Vodafone Ukraine has made it possible to optimize subscriber expenses and pay only upon use of communication services.

    What does the current tariff offer?

    For MTS network clients, the introduction of the “Standard Smartphone” package coincided with the expiration of a number of outdated offers. Which no longer meet the modern requirements of subscribers.

    In addition, since 2018, the tariff plan has become the pioneer of a line of offers under which the use of MTS Standard services has become available in conditions when they are really needed.

    And although the offer is valid throughout Ukraine, it is most widespread in the territory. Such conditions have become ideal for Donbass, where there have been constant network outages lately.

    In fact, using the services of this tariff plan is possible for a period of 1 zero. If necessary, subscribers can connect to the Vodafone “Smartphone Standard” tariff for Donetsk for only 24 hours. And renew for future use. If the subscriber is interested in the option of connecting services for more than 1 day, they can activate it for a month.

    Detailed analysis of the current plan

    Starting from 2018, the Vodafone operator transferred its customers whose tariff plans were about to expire to “Smartphone Standard”. The transition conditions are described in an SMS message that is sent to each subscriber’s smartphone. Clients who did not meet these conditions could always change it to any other tariff.

    The current tariff plan is relevant for the entire Vodafone coverage area in Ukraine, but given the current situation, it largely affects the territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

    First of all, the tariff provides for the collection of a subscription fee in a fixed amount - 3 hryvnia daily.

    This standard package includes the following set of services:

    • Internet in 3g and 2g format;
    • SMS and mms messages;
    • unlimited calls on the Vodafone network throughout Ukraine.

    To use additional services, in addition to the standard set, you need to activate them. If you activate the service, you can contact foreign subscribers and save money.

    All tariffs of the “Standard Smartphone” package are fixed:

    • the cost of 1 minute of conversation to other operators in Ukraine is 1.5 hryvnia;
    • SMS message to other operators - 1 hryvnia;
    • 50 MB mobile internet. Despite the fact that excess use of mobile Internet will be assessed at 5.00 UAH for every 100 MB of over-limit connection.

    Who is it suitable for?

    The main content of services in accordance with the standard MTS Ukraine tariff plan does not look as attractive as we would like. But this primarily concerns those who are accustomed to using mobile Internet from the Vodafone operator.

    Of course, 50 MB of daily traffic is unlikely to satisfy an active user. But for those who use Internet resources in small volumes, switching to the tariff will be quite profitable. Because if you top up your account for a month, you can get 500 MB for the entire period.

    For certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, where Vodafone communications may still be available, this tariff will be the only one available. This is due to the unstable operation of equipment in these areas.

    Advantages and features of the tariff

    For this tariff, as already mentioned, an important advantage is the possibility of unlimited use of the call service with Vodafone subscribers. The second important point is that the fee is written off daily, and it has a fixed amount. This allows you to adjust the volume of ordered services and plan Internet traffic.

    Tariff plans for other packages provide for independent transition on the terms of other offers. Alas, this tariff does not provide such preferences for users in the occupied territories. Here this package has no alternative.

    For those who tried to pay for MTS mobile communication services a year in advance, in connection with the transition to the “Standard Smartphone”, the unused amount will be returned. Or you will be offered to use services at a new tariff.

    Important to remember! A subscription fee will be charged even if you have not used all the traffic.

    How to switch to a standard smartphone

    For new subscribers, the transition to the Vodafone “Smartphone Standard” tariff occurs upon activation of a SIM card using a standard PIN code. For subscribers using other packages, the service can be activated using a simple USSD request. Just send the command - *101*901#.

    The second option for activating the package is by directly calling 111 for free or 555 for a fee. Moreover, the first 20 seconds are free, and each subsequent second is paid at a rate of 50 kopecks.

    Basic conditions

    So, to summarize, it must be said that the tariff from Vodafone “Smartphone Standard” is basic for all subscribers in Ukraine. You can switch to another tariff, including , either independently or through an operator.

    For certain districts of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, this is a non-alternative proposal. Switching to any other package is not possible. To transfer, use a standard PIN code or contact an operator.

    The subscription fee will be charged automatically. For this tariff, only the fact of using communication on that day is not decisive for charging a fee. The fee is fixed - 3 hryvnia daily. There is no limit for calls on the network. To numbers of other operators, including landline phones - 1.5 UAH per minute.

    You will have to pay for using the package monthly or use the daily payment procedure. This option applies to those who cannot use mobile communications throughout the month.

    When using the mobile Internet, the package includes 50 MB of daily traffic; after using them, the fee is set at 5 UAH for every subsequent 100 MB.

    Additional services in the tariff

    Additional services included in the tariff include the “Zero Abroad” service and. The first service, after activation, allows you to contact subscribers abroad for free in the amount of 10 package minutes per day. This service must be activated separately. After the package minutes are used up, the cost will be:

    • European countries - 25 UAH;
    • in the Russian Federation - 2 UAH.

    The GOODOK feature includes packages for occupied territories. It comes as a standard application and is available for free use for a week. Afterwards it is automatically extended, but the cost will be 3.19 UAH. for the next week.

    To disable the service, you must follow the following procedure:

    • type a message with the text “OFF”;
    • send it to number 700.

    Continuous telephone communication is not a luxury, but a requirement of our time. This opportunity is even more appreciated during a difficult period, when the political and economic situation in the region remains difficult. Understanding this, Vodafone offers several profitable tariff plans for the Lugansk region. As it becomes known from the official website of the mobile operator, prices for telephony services in the temporarily occupied territories will not increase.

    The “Unlim” line consists of two tariff plans. It is ideal for all those users who often use smartphones not only to make calls, but also to surf the World Wide Web and communicate on social networks. The main requirement for users of the “Unlim” plan is a monthly replenishment of their mobile account by 50 or 75 hryvnia (depending on the specific option). In return, the user can use the Internet absolutely without limits. There is no plan for restrictions on the time of use of the World Wide Web. Also, completely free and unlimited, users can communicate on any social network or use messenger.

    For those who choose the “Unlim 3G +, 75” plan, the operator offers to communicate within the network for free for the entire month. Subscribers who choose “Unlim 3G, 50” for their own use will be forced to pay 20 kopecks for every minute of conversation, but only within the network.

    Both in the Lugansk region 2018 provide the opportunity to use 100 minutes for phone calls to specialists from other networks. After completing this limited time, you will need to pay 20 kopecks per minute.

    Calls outside the country in the “Unlim” line are priced at 1 hryvnia per 1 minute.

    Compared to the prices of other mobile operators, very reasonable prices are set for SMS messages. So, in Ukraine you can send SMS for 20 kopecks. Abroad, one message will cost 0.5 hryvnia.

    Those who are interested in such can purchase a ready-made starter package with such a plan, or switch to “Unlim” from another. To do this, you need to call the operator and leave a request for transfer, or dial the combination: *888*2 #. The cost of the service is 75 hryvnia.

    For subscribers who constantly need to be in touch, the operator offers four “Red” packages: “XS”, “S”, “M”, “L”. The greater the amount of replenishment of the mobile account, the more opportunities the user will have.

    One of the main advantages of the line is that all of its Vodafone tariffs for Lugansk allow you to make calls within the network for free and unlimited.

    In order to communicate with representatives of other networks, free minutes are issued monthly for the “XS” package, they are 60, for “S” - 75, “M” - 105, “L” - 300.

    “Red” packages even make it possible to call abroad for free. True, the number of minutes is strictly limited. So, in the “XS” plan only 3 minutes are offered, in the “S” - 25, “M” - 35, “L” - 75.

    Users can also use free SMS packages. These are credited after each replenishment. Their number depends on the specific tariff plan and ranges from 50-150 pieces.

    As for using the Internet, the operator offers a certain number of gigabytes for this. Just like minutes and messages, the size of megabytes varies. For "XS" there is only 1 GB. Already for the “S” package - 4 GB, for “M” - 8 GB, and for “XS” - 30 GB.

    It is important to note that the accrual of a package of minutes and the volume of information is not tied to a calendar period. If the subscriber has already used the limits provided to him, he can top up his account again and dial the following combination on the phone: *101*444#. This way the package will resume again.

    Using the simplest of the “Red” packages - “XS” - requires a replenishment in the amount of 40 hryvnia. “S” - 60, “M” - 90, “L” - 180 hryvnia.

    Subscribers who do not like to monitor systematic replenishment can use the “Year without subscription fees” service. In this case, the user can top up his account with 360, 700, 500 or 1000 hryvnia at a time and use limited packages of minutes and gigabytes.

    Persons who want to order exactly these Vodafone tariffs for the Lugansk region must dial the following combination: *250* plan code #. The plan code for the "XS" package is 350, for the "S" package it is 50, for the "M" package it is 70, and for the "L" package it is 150.

    An alternative to “Red” tariff plans should be called “Device”. Just like the previous line, this one provides several options, depending on the amount of monthly replenishment. “Device” - universal Vodafone Ukraine tariffs for the Lugansk region 2018. The user is offered a basic package that will be useful to every owner of a modern smartphone.

    The mobile network client can independently choose the amount of the monthly payment. The minimum replenishment (in the “S” plan) is 45 hryvnia. Also, if desired, the user can top up by 50 (plan “M”) or 90 (“L”) hryvnia.

    In each of these plans, you can use 50 minutes a day for free, and each additional minute is valued at 50 kopecks. You will have to pay the same amount for each minute of conversation when calling to other networks.

    The service provider offers packages of SMS messages - 50 pieces per day. Anything that is used more than this must be paid for 50 kopecks per piece. You can send messages abroad for 3 hryvnia.

    The packages differ in the number of megabytes available for use on the network. There are fewer of these - 50 MB - in the “S” plan. The “M” tariff has 5 GB, and the “L” tariff has 10 GB.

    The last two allow the subscriber to use the messenger and social networks unlimited and free of charge. For the “Device S” tariff plan, this opportunity is limited and amounts to 50 MB per day.

    Those interested can purchase a starter package with this tariff plan.

    Tariffs "Light +"

    The simplest and most accessible plan for every Ukrainian can be called the “Vodafone Light Plus” plan in the Lugansk region 2018. The main condition for comfortable use of this is to top up your account with 35 hryvnia once a month. In exchange for this currently insignificant amount, the subscriber receives:

    • absolutely free and unlimited communication within the network;
    • 500 MB for using high-speed 3G Internet; after using this limit, the subscriber has access to unlimited 2G (features slightly lower download speed);
    • 60 minutes per month for use on calls from subscribers of other mobile operators;
    • 50 SMS/mms per day for a separate surcharge - 1.5 hryvnia per day.

    You can call abroad with “Light +” for 3 hryvnia per minute.

    A special feature of the tariff plan is that the subscriber does not have to wait a whole month to order the offered package of services. This can be done if necessary using the combination *101*444 #.

    "Smartphone Standard"

    . You can use this if you order a package a month in advance, or by paying the daily minimum amount for the package to be valid - 2 hryvnia. The basic monthly package will cost 60 hryvnia.

    For the specified amount, the subscriber can make calls to numbers of other operators completely free and unlimited. Calls to numbers of other operators will cost 1.5 hryvnia per minute. Also provided is access to high-speed Internet of 500 Megabytes in the basic version, 50 Megabytes in case of daily payment.

    As for SMS and mms messages, you need to pay for them separately at 1 hryvnia per piece.

    As a gift, the basic package of services also includes a “Beep”. Instead of a telephone dial tone, subscribers will be able to listen to a user-selected melody. The “Beep” service in “Smartphone Standard” is valid for exactly a week, and then is paid additionally for each day of use. The user has the opportunity to disable this service at any time.

    Each network subscriber is allowed to switch to “Smartphone Standard”. To do this, you just need to dial the combination: *101*901 #.

    If subscribers have already taken the opportunity to subscribe to some tariff plan for a whole year, but then changed their minds and wanted to transfer to Smartphone Standard, then they should call the operator back and leave a request for a transfer. Funds for a yearly subscription will be automatically returned to the subscriber's mobile account as soon as his tariff plan changes.

    Thus, this tariff plan is ideal for those subscribers who do not use communication services on a daily basis. At the same time, not all users of Vodafone services in the Lugansk region assessed such tariffs positively. Subscribers who communicate by phone daily will have to spend at least 90 hryvnia monthly on communications.

    Personal Area

    Whatever year the subscriber chooses for the Lugansk region in 2018, in any case it will be useful for him to use his personal account. You can log into this from almost any modern mobile device or computer. By logging into “My Vodafone” you will be able to track personal expenses for communication services, as well as manage the services of your tariff plan and the tariffs themselves. In addition, your own account gives you the opportunity to find out:

    • balance on balance;
    • address of the nearest service center of the company;
    • about bonuses and promotions;
    • loyalty system specifically for your number;

    To summarize, it should be said that Vodafone is a mobile operator that cares about the comfort and wallet of its subscribers, provides them with an alternative and gives them the opportunity to choose the most suitable option for themselves.

    On Friday, the Ministry for Temporarily Occupied Territories announced that the operator Vodafone Ukraine will not introduce special tariffs for residents of ORDLO. Allegedly, the company promised to recalculate and reimburse all expenses incurred by network users as a result of this decision, but this will happen only after Vodafone communications in uncontrolled territories are restored. However, in response to a request, the operator’s press service noted that the transfer of ORDLO residents to a non-alternative tariff with daily payment will still be carried out, reports Liga.net.

    Let us remind you that on January 11, 2018, due to damage to telecommunication networks in the area of the settlement. Olenovka, Donetsk region and Shchastya, Lugansk region, the mobile network of the Vodafone Ukraine operator disappeared in the territory of ORDLO, where almost 2 million subscribers use the services of this operator.

    In turn, on December 29, 2017, the operator Vodafone Ukraine officially announced that it would forcibly transfer all subscribers living in the occupied territory of Donbass to the “Smartphone Standard” tariff costing 3 UAH per day for unlimited calls within the network and 50 MB of daily Internet traffic. This news caused the expected indignation, since previously many subscribers in the region paid half as much for communications - about 40-50 UAH per month.

    After some time, the operator Vodafone Ukraine met subscribers in ORDLO and returned to the tariff the option to pay the subscription fee for the entire month at once in the amount of 60 UAH. However, this was where the concessions ended and the operator confirmed that a forced transfer would be carried out, explaining the reasons for this decision.

    “The company will not introduce new special tariffs, but the transfer of all subscribers in ORDLO to one of the previously existing tariffs - Smartphone Standard will be carried out,” commented the press service of Vodafone Ukraine.

    As the company's support service previously reported, transferring subscribers to one tariff is associated with high costs. According to company representatives, remote servicing of subscriber numbers in unstable network conditions is associated with additional costs. In particular, more than a third of the base stations in ORDLO are already out of order.

    But, as it turned out, there is another reason. According to the agreement between the Ukrainian operator (before the rebranding of MTS Ukraine) and the international Vodafone group, the former does not have the right to use Vodafone products in occupied or uncontrolled territories. Because of this, the company did not sell its tariff plans there under the Vodafone branding, and most residents of ORDLO used the old MTS tariffs.

    But since subscribers still bought and transported Vodafone starter packs to ORDLO and used them, this created the preconditions for violation of the contract and potential imposition of fines for the operator. As a result, the company decided to restore order by transferring all ORDLO subscribers to one tariff during the first quarter of 2018.

    “Naturally, we simply won’t be able to become Vodafone then. This is a mandatory requirement of the terms of the contract, the details of which I cannot disclose,” answered Oleg Prozhyvalsky, director of corporate governance and control of the company, when asked about the existence of fines.

    As the manager said, the operator will automatically transfer to a single tariff everyone who ends up in the occupied territory with a Vodafone tariff. At the same time, when moving to a controlled territory, users will be able to change the tariff plan to any one available from the operator in this area.

    It is interesting that the forced transfer of residents of ORDLO to a single tariff did not arouse suspicion among the NKRSI and the AMCU. Representatives of regulators noted that this process, from their point of view, is not a violation, which means that no measures will be taken against Vodafone Ukraine.
