And what’s most infuriating is that these messages make the same notification sound as when receiving real ones, a friend thought he wrote, but here it’s an advertisement: “The whole truth about you!”

It is quite easy to disable such advertising. Each application has settings, just go to their page and turn off these notifications. You just need to uncheck the “Allow applications to send you notifications” checkbox, and you won’t receive any more advertising messages.
