Yanwen Post Postal Service. Parcel tracking

Every year the number of buyers on the Asian trading platform AliExpress increases, and increases at a rapid pace, and the load on China’s main postal service, which is, also increases accordingly. Of course, due to such an influx of orders being sent, the load on the main carrier also increases, which leads to delays in the processing and delivery of parcels.

Therefore, from time to time, new methods of delivering goods appear in order to ensure fast and timely delivery to the buyer and thereby unloading the main carrier. By the way, recently, which means it has become even more profitable to buy. It’s no longer a secret that many parcels from Aliexpress are sent through Scandinavian countries, like Norway, and more recently even Germany.

However, recently, logistics companies that have their own proven delivery routes have become increasingly popular, thereby providing maximum comfort to customers. One of such companies is YANWEN Logistics, which provides the ability to track YANWEN in Russia and beyond.

YANWEN International Express was founded in China in 1998 and acts as a specialized logistics company whose main priority is customer convenience. The main focus of the company is to increase the number of goods sent, so delivery is carried out not only by conventional air flights, but also by trains and even by sea.

Thus, the company tries to provide the highest quality service to its customers. Today they have a well-established international delivery network, so YANWEN Logistics is a Gold Partner and cooperates with most of the major postal services in the world.

    YANWEN track code format

YANWEN tracking in Russia is available using a track code issued by the seller, however, the company has several track code formats, some can only be tracked until export from China, while other Yanwen Logistics parcels can be tracked within Russia and the former CIS countries.

At the moment, there are three main formats for the YANWEN (Yanwen Logistics) track code; they look something like this:

    • UA123456789YP
    • UR123456789YP
    • YC123456789YW

The track code looks quite standard and has two letters at the beginning, followed by a unique 9-digit shipment number and ends with two letters at the end, in some ways this all resembles the UPU (International Postal Union) format, although it has nothing to do with it .

Recently, more and more often you can find a Yanwen Logistics digital track code, without any letters, only numbers, or the following format:

    • AA137595331YN

For the most part, such track codes will only be tracked until they are exported from China. It is likely that over time the number of varieties of Yanwen track codes will only grow, as the company is actively developing and expanding its logistics.

The most common track code today is the YC815250488YW format, the vast majority issue a track code of this format, but unfortunately, tracking YANWEN in Russia using such a track code is not available, the most that can be checked with it is exports from China, and, importantly, the date of import into your country.

Recently, Yanwen has undergone some structural changes that have affected the tracking of parcels sent by this service. Thus, tracking within the recipient’s country has become available for Yanwen Express parcels, which was not the case before; Yanwen Economic Air Mail parcels are tracked as before, only until imported into the destination country.

Before you start tracking something, you need to understand the specifics themselves. You should not try to track something immediately after issuing the track code; as a rule, in this case you will get a zero result.

The thing is that first of all, the seller registers the track code with the carrier Yanwen Logistics, after which he prepares the parcel for shipment, and only after it reaches the sorting point of the YANWEN logistics company can tracking begin; this process takes about a week on average.

Now regarding the ways in which you can find out the location of your parcel. Tracking Yanwen Economic Air Mail parcels in Russian is possible, but the purpose itself is not clear - at most you will see the status of export from China or already imported to the destination country, here basic knowledge of English will be enough to do this.

To do this, just enter your track code in the appropriate field and click Submit, as a result of which you will receive all the data about the movement of your parcel. As an example, one of the track codes, the status shows that it has already arrived in Ukraine.

But it is much easier to use to track parcels, on the main page of which you select your postal service (if it is not determined automatically), in this case YANWEN, and enter the received track code, to which the system will display the full path of movement of your parcel.

There, at the very bottom right under the statuses, you can choose which language to translate them into if you need to, select “Russian” and you will receive Yanwen Economic Air Mail tracking in Russian. But as noted above, there is not much sense in such a translation; after noticing the latest status of “Yanwen’s Track End”, you can no longer try to see something new. This status indicates that the parcel has arrived in the destination country, at which point its tracking is completed, but as a rule, after this status, you will receive a mail notification in your mailbox in about 2-3 weeks.

Another useful function of this tracker is the ability to track YANWEN in Russia, but only if the track code is in the format UR123456789YP, in other words, this type of shipment is classified as Yanwen Express and can be tracked until the moment of delivery.

Yanwen Express tracking becomes available even after import into the destination country, due to the fact that such parcels have a double track code, unlike Yanwen Economic Air Mail. After exporting from China, the parcel is assigned a completely standard UPU format track code, similar to the one issued by China Post.

In order to find out the second track code of your Yanwen Express shipment, just enter the track received from the seller on their website and click “Search”, which will display the invoice number (Letters LP at the beginning) and the second track code. By the way, you can also try to track it on the website using the invoice number; they are the ones who transport Yanwen parcels within China.

Knowing the final track code, you can forget about the first one, since it is no longer useful. Now you can track your Yanwen Express parcel using the second track code. Remember that after exporting from China, the status of any track code stops being tracked for up to 30 days, after which the status of import to the destination country appears, so don’t worry too much if after export the track code suddenly stops updating.

Possible statuses of YANWEN International Express parcels

There are a lot of statuses for moving YANWEN parcels, but usually everything goes according to the standard scenario, let’s look at an example:

    • ShenZhen, Arrived at Yanwen ShenZhen Sorting Center (The parcel arrived at the local Yanwen ShenZhen sorting center)
    • ShenZhen, Despatched from Yanwen ShenZhen Sorting Center
    • BeiJing, Arrived at Beijing Internationg Mail Center (The parcel arrived at the Beijing International Postal Center)
    • Beijing Internationg Mail Center, Received (Beijing International Postal Center received the parcel)
    • Beijing Internationg Mail Center, Prepare to Dispatch (The parcel has left the Beijing exchange center)
    • BeiJing, Handled by Airline, Flight No. T5608 (The parcel has been handed over to the airline for further delivery)
    • Ukraine, Arrive at Ukraine Airport-Yanwen’s Track End (The parcel arrived at the airport of the destination country)

The inscription in the latest status “Yanwen’s Track End” means that further tracking is not available, you can only wait for your local postal services to deliver it to you, or rather, not the parcel itself, but a notification to the mailbox.

Sometimes you can find such a status as “departure from airport yanwen’s track end”, this means that tracking ended immediately after departure from China and you will no longer receive data about its location. However, as already noted, parcels with a track code of the format UR123456789YP related to Yanwen Express shipments can be further tracked by YANWEN in Russia.

How long does it take YANWEN

Officially, the company states the delivery time to Russia is approximately 25-35 days, but in fact it turns out to be a little more, but there were also cases when customers received their parcels 2 weeks after sending. You need to understand that we are talking about Yanwen Economic Air Mail parcels; in the case of Yanwen Express, delivery usually takes no more than 20 days.

Ultimately, it all depends on your final location relative to China and the format of the parcel, so large parcels take a little longer, small items arrive faster and this applies not only to Russia, but also to the CIS countries.

The company provides delivery methods directly to the door, by courier, but this is a more expensive delivery method, so few sellers give it preference. Usually everything happens as standard, you receive a notice in your mailbox, fill it out and then go to your local post office to receive the parcel.

Always monitor the status of the movement of your parcels, and if the buyer’s protection time is coming to an end, then do not be lazy and write a personal message to the seller, and also, if necessary, thereby protecting yourself from unnecessary losses.

If the seller ignores and does not respond to your messages without a doubt, just first make sure that the truth is on your side, since opening a dispute on Aliexpress unreasonably can doom the indignation of the support service to yourself, with all the ensuing consequences.

Yanwen International Express is a large corporation providing logistics services around the world. This company was founded in China in 1998 and has since become one of the recognized leaders in the field of delivery and transportation. Yanwen International Express offers its customers high quality service at a competitive price. Yanwen has air transport, rail transport, and road transport, so delivering a parcel of any complexity from door to door is not difficult for the specialists of this company. Particular attention is paid to packaging your cargo. If your parcel requires special packaging or a complex travel route, Yanwen International Express will solve any questions regarding delivery. If you are ordering an expensive and/or fragile item, it is worth choosing shipping with tracking capabilities.

Yanwen International Express Post Parcel Tracking

Like all major international logistics companies, Yanwen International Express offers its customers the ability to track packages. When a postal item is generated, the parcel is automatically assigned a tracking number, by which it can subsequently be tracked. Standard Yanwen International Express parcel tracking numbers are the following sequence of characters: the first two letters (UR or UA), then nine numbers and the last two letters (YP). Thus, if the seller sends you a tracking number that ends in YP (Yanwen Post), you can rest assured that your parcel is safe. It is worth keeping in mind that numbers starting with the letters UA can only be tracked in China. In Russia, tracking Yanwen International Express parcels is only possible for tracking numbers starting with UR.

Parcel tracking information is available in English and Chinese on the Yanwen International Express website.

    • Register in the “Personal Account” section on the website.
    • Now you can save any number of tracking numbers of expected parcels and be aware of the movement of the postal item.
    • You can subscribe to automatic notifications about changes in the status of your parcel.
    • If you want to track only one parcel, enter its tracking number in the search bar on the website.

China is perhaps the most popular country at the moment, where the bulk of online purchases are made. In recent years, the online sales industry in this country has grown significantly and such monsters as Aliexpress or Alibaba have long caught up and surpassed their Western competitors eBay and Amazon in terms of sales.

I’m almost sure that everyone who often buys something in China has already encountered (most likely more than once) the shipment of goods through YANWEN Logistics. This seems to be not quite a postal service and tracking for such parcels is not always standard. This is what I would like to talk about in this article about the features of tracking shipments through YANWEN Logistics.

Let me make a reservation right away that I am by no means an expert in the field of logistics of goods from China and everything stated below is simply an attempt to systematize the fragmentary information about YANWEN Logistics that is available on the Internet. I hope that this will be useful not only for those new to shopping from China, but also for people who have been doing this for quite some time. Personally, while collecting information on this issue, I found a lot of new things for myself that I didn’t know about. So, let's begin.

First, some dry statistical information about the company itself, borrowed from their official website. I will deliberately omit all kinds of laudatory epithets about what a wonderful company this is:

YANWEN Logistics is a Beijing logistics company founded in 1998. The main activity is door-to-door delivery of all kinds of cargo. Close integration with international transport and postal companies allows YANWEN Logistics to provide Chinese sellers with a very wide range of services. YANWEN Logistics' logistics delivery network now covers 123 countries around the world. Delivery can be carried out by all types of land, air and sea transport.

Now let's figure out why Chinese sellers generally use the services of logistics companies and the services of YANWEN Logistics in particular.

In my opinion, logistics companies are used to ship goods from China for a number of reasons:

Firstly, even small sellers do not send anything themselves. They register the parcel online and then simply hand it over to the courier right in their office or home. The parcel is issued for delivery from point A (sender's city) to point B (recipient's city). And what the logistics will be like between these points, the seller, by and large, doesn’t care. It is important that the parcel is delivered. Again, the services of logistics companies are mostly not expensive and are quite comparable (and most often even lower) with the cost of sending by China Post. Competition, however... But even such options are possible that the logistics company picks up the parcel from the seller and then transfers it to be sent to the same Chinese post office (examples will come a little later).

Secondly, logistics companies are quietly bypassing the ban on transporting goods with lithium that exists with China Post. Consolidated cargo is transported from China by cargo planes to third countries and is then transferred to the postal services of those countries whose logistics the logistics company uses. And YANWEN Logistics is one of such logistics companies.

But this is all “lyrics” and let’s move on to “physics”, i.e. to tracking parcels that are sent through YANWEN Logistics. But here there are already some features that I would like to dwell on in more detail.

We all know that YANWEN Logistics shipments are either tracked or not tracked. Although it would be fairer to say it differently:

    1) Tracked throughout the route: both in the sender’s country and in the recipient’s country.

    2) Partially tracked until export from the sender’s country (in our case, China).

In fact, such shipments can be perceived as registered or unregistered, with or without a track. It is clear that sending a parcel without a track and without tracking costs the seller less than a parcel with a normal international track. That's why sellers save money. But on the other hand, the seller often needs to provide the buyer with some proof of shipment. This is where types of shipments that are partially tracked come into play. YANWEN Logistics offers sellers both options.

But let's look at these two options in more detail.

    What is fully tracked

Firstly, tracks like UR*********YP. Or I also came across tracks in VR*********YP format. The main thing is that the second letter in the track is R. I mean that this is nothing more than registered, i.e. registered shipment. The movement of such a shipment will be visible both in China and in the recipient country. It would seem, how can the postal service in the recipient’s country record movement using a track number that does not meet UPU (Universal Postal Union) standards? And the answer here is simple - YANWEN Logistics registers such shipments directly with China Post and receives a second, duplicate track number in UPU format, i.e. R*********CN. Actually, all movement statuses of the parcel are determined by the second number. Thus, we have a situation where YANWEN Logistics couriers simply received the parcel from the seller and arranged for it to be sent via China Post. The seller received a track number of the form UR*********YP and communicated it to the buyer.

Naturally, there are no problems with tracking such a parcel. It can be tracked on the YANWEN Logistics website and on specialized trackers such as My Track and even on your mail website, if you first look at the second track number from China Post on the YANWEN Logistics website. This can be seen in the example above.

The first statuses in this case will be:

. Sorting centers are located in various cities in China.

Of course, these two statuses will not give the buyer much information, but at least it will be clear that the seller sent this parcel. Well, a little later statuses from China Post will appear.

Secondly, not only the logistics of China Post, but also the logistics of other posts around the world can be used for sending. Personally, I have most often seen the use of Finnish Post for delivery. But I fully admit that other European mails can be used.

In this case, the buyer receives from the Chinese seller a track number in the format R***********FI, which will be perfectly tracked both on the Finnish Post website and on the post office website of the recipient’s country. And also on the website of YANWEN Logistics itself. Those. in fact, the result is almost the same scheme as with China Post, only you can bypass its restrictions on accepting a number of goods for shipment.

The example clearly shows that the parcel was first exported to Hong Kong and only from there began its movement, first to Luxembourg, then to Finland and then to the recipient’s country. A little unusual movement for a parcel from China, but, nevertheless, quite fast and, most importantly, trackable.

Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, I could not find any other shipping methods through YANWEN Logistics that would be fully tracked along the entire route...

    What is not fully tracked

And this is where all the fun, confusing and detective stuff begins :) The thing is that YANWEN Logistics turned out to have an insanely large number of track number formats for such partially tracked shipments. After I counted about 20 of them, my patience ran out and I simply stopped looking. But let's take things in order.

The most common format for partially tracked shipments through YANWEN Logistics is probably the format like UA*********YP.

A parcel with such a number will be perfectly tracked in China, but after export it is almost impossible to find out about its movement and fate, because in fact, this is an ordinary unregistered shipment, without an international track number.

The movement status of such a shipment in China will be approximately as follows:

Accepted at (city) Yanwen Sorting Center– parcel acceptance at the YANWEN Logistics sorting center
Despatched from (city) Yanwen Sorting Center– dispatch from the YANWEN Logistics sorting center
Hand over to Airport– arrived at the airport
Departed from Airport-(Yanwen's Track End)– sent from the airport, tracking stopped.

I already said above that YANWEN Logistics can use the logistics of other European posts. And it is far from a fact that the parcel will go straight from China directly to the sender’s country. It could easily happen that a parcel from China will end up in Finland, Estonia or Lithuania and will already be delivered to the buyer by these postal services.

Here is an example of a track for one of my purchases, which eventually arrived to me with Estonian Post stickers.

In fact, it is already clear that tracking of such shipments will end in the area of the airport in the sender’s country. On the one hand, of course, it’s good that there is at least such information about the parcel, which shows that the parcel has been sent and even already shipped to the recipient’s country. But, by and large, this information is extremely insufficient due to the fact that the buyer does not know for sure whether this is his parcel at all, whether it will go further to his city or to some Kryzhopl addressed to Ivan Ivanovich Ivanov. But in any case, this is better than a simple Chinese trackless track, for which there will be no information at all.

Let's move on. It would seem that everything is simple and YANWEN Logistics has both trackable and partially trackable track number formats. But everything turns out to be not so simple. Here is another list of track number formats from YANWEN Logistics that I managed to find on the web. And something tells me that my list is not even complete. In order not to disclose any confidential information, I will remove three numbers from these tracks and replace them with *, but the number format itself will still remain clear.

    WA0407***92YP
    1102***4691
    SN1410***1295
    RE105***642
    AZ16***56
    PK1411***1995
    DZ14***42
    KY231***784CN
    YC285***840YW
    AA852***388YW
    SZAA0***74240
    RE106***160EN
    LP00034***082514
    18002***775BJ
    59***30B
    YWXD005***28
    YWAYA003***18
    APV1410040***7827
    BJYW55***39
    OGYA3***2ZGYW

And what’s most interesting is that there is often even more information on the movement of parcels with the above number formats than for parcels with a number format like UA*********YP.

Here, for the most part, we observe the following statuses:

Accepted at (city) Yanwen Sorting Center– parcel acceptance at the YANWEN Logistics sorting center
Despatched from (city) Yanwen Sorting Center– dispatch from the YANWEN Logistics sorting center
Received, Beijing International Mail Center– Arrival at the International Postal Center in Beijing
Prepare to Dispatch, Beijing Internationg Mail Center– preparation for shipment
Handled by Airline,Flight No. (flight number), BeiJing- loading onto the plane
Arrive at (destination country) Airport-(Yanwen"s Track End)– arrival in the destination country, completion of tracking.

    Example:

The example shows that the parcel was sent to Russia. The flight number SU205 is even indicated, which is nothing more than a regular Aeroflot flight Beijing-Moscow.

Another example, but the shipment is already going to Belarus:

By the way, flight SU205 is also indicated, because... Apparently, such shipments travel through Russia in transit.

But as you can see from the examples, the track formats are different, but the movement along the tracks is standard.

An even more interesting example for sending to Ukraine:

Flight T5608 Beijing-Ashgabat already appears here (!). But what kind of logistics there were after Ashgabat - only the postal god knows :)

However, I have outlined the most common YANWEN Logistics track formats. I hope that it will now be easier for readers to navigate the tracks from this logistics company. Well, or you can compare your “incomprehensible” track with the formats that I gave above. At least it will be clear who it is and where you can watch the movement.

Well, in conclusion, all that remains is to say where all this “wealth of choice” can be tracked. Firstly, this can be done directly on the tracking page of the YANWEN Logistics website. If the track has an international format, then you can track it on the recipient’s mail website.

Secondly, to be fair, it is worth noting that I was able to track all the examples of tracks that I gave in this article (in various formats) in the My Track service of this site.

I guess I'll end here. I hope that the information that I was able to collect in one place will be useful for fans of online shopping in China. If I missed something, please do not throw slippers, but simply supplement the material in the comments to the article.

Happy shopping and tracked parcels to everyone!
